ABOUT
Willie Xaiwouth, born in 2001 in Sainyabuli Province, Laos, graduated from the National Institute of Fine Arts in 2023, majoring in painting. He is Laos multidisciplinary artist working across painting, installation, photography, digital painting, animation and performance. His practice explores memory, identity, ecology, and cultural change, often drawing from traditional materials and local landscapes.
A member of the Elevation Laos in 2019, he co-founded Lost Jigsaw in 2023 to help expand the reach of contemporary art in Laos. His thought-provoking works have been exhibited in Laos, Thailand, Singapore, Japan and Vietnam, gaining growing international recognition.
